This site, now in its 27th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia.mcinnis@gmail.com) a shout!
NOTE that this site had to be quickly moved to a new server with a new version of Perl. Unfortunately the way of interacting with the web form has changed, so I'll have to do some reprogramming to get the buttons and search boxes working. Meanwhile the links work fine and you can always add query specifications into the URL! :-)

It was nice to have warmer and drier weather conditions this week than we did for the first two WTT events! Thirty women arrived to ride, though Karen Byskov was reduced to walking back to the parking lot from the start line after three mishaps with her bike. Karen noticed her first problem when she took her bike out of her car in the registration area - the rear tire was flat. We all noticed her second flat when her spare blew up loudly as the numbers were about to be given out. At this point, Anna Delaney gave her a spare wheel to use, but unfortunately the cogs of its compact freewheel were too close together to work with Karen's chain. Note that Karen has ridden 123 time trials over the last decade and has never before not finished. She got her fill of bad luck tonight, and hopefully will go at least another decade before her next DNS. The times tonight were good, though riders commented on the difficulty approaching the overpass where we were going into the south wind. Fastest of the night was Alyssa Mellon (16:05) who was one second slower than she was in the first of WTT of 2012. Alison Ingham, who was out for her first time trial of 2012, was second in 16:25, while Christina Czaban (16:32) was third with an improvement of more than a minute from May day! In all, 13 of the 20 who had ridden a previous 2012 WTT event improved upon their previous 2012 WTT 10km best, while nine improved upon their previous database best for 10km. Congratulations to Cadet (15-16 years old) rider Keltie Campbell for having the biggest improvement in her 10km database best. There were a number of other excellent category results. In particular, note Mary Ajersh's new 10km standard of 19:48 for the Veteran E (70-79 years of age) category.

These results were posted on the OBC site circa 22:30 on 2012-May-15 and are available here for your added pleasure and analysis.

(Lest complaints about me just lazily sucking in the results surface, I wish to make it perfectly clear that I would gladly do the data entry, getting the results up within a few of hours of the event, as history shows that I did for the WTT series for the decade beginning in 1998, and for the OTT series from 1999-2002 and again in 2006. The OBC Board however, not only won't let me volunteer here, but strangely enough they actually expelled me from the OBC for donating this time trial web site to you !)
